In a significant step towards enhancing urban safety and sustainability, Jos Alukkas has donated four Mahindra electric vehicles worth ₹60 lakhs to the Coimbatore City Police as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The official handover ceremony, held at the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner’s office, was attended by City Police Commissioner V. Balakrishnan, IPS, Deputy Commissioners, alongside Paul J Alukkas and John Alukkas, Managing Directors of Jos Alukkas
Enhancing Patrolling and Reducing Emissions
The eco-friendly vehicles will bolster patrolling efforts across Coimbatore while contributing to the city’s mission of reducing carbon emissions. Two vehicles are designated for traffic patrolling in the eastern and western regions, and the remaining two will be utilised for crime control operations, marking a milestone in Tamil Nadu’s adoption of electric vehicles for law enforcement.
