INDIA PAVILION AND INDIA DESIGN GALLERY SHOWCASE EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP AND INNOVATIVE DESIGNS AT JCK LAS VEGAS 2024

10th June 2024

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the India Pavilion and Design Gallery at JCK Las Vegas 2024. The event, held from 31st May to 3rd June at the Sands Expo & The Venetian, has once again demonstrated the exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs that Indian jewellers bring to the global stage

The India Pavilion, spread over 4,900 square feet across Level 1 and Level 2 (Passport Section, Diamond Pavilion, Lab-Grown, and Current Sections), hosted 39 esteemed member exporters. The pavilion attracted significant footfall, with visitors expressing great admiration for the exquisite array of precious metal jewellery, both plain and studded, and the loose gemstones on display. The high visitor engagement underscores the global appreciation for the quality and artistry of Indian jewellery.

Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, remarked, “The overwhelming response to the India Pavilion at JCK Las Vegas reaffirms our position as leaders in the global jewellery market. JCK Las Vegas continues to be a vital platform for Indian exporters to understand and align with the latest trends in the USA market. The event provides invaluable insights into consumer preferences and emerging styles, enabling Indian jewellers to refine their offerings and strengthen their presence in the international market. The USA, which accounted for 30.2% or $9.94 billion of India’s total gem and jewellery exports in FY 2023-2024, continues to be our largest export destination.”

A major attraction this year was the India Design Gallery, located at L-105, Level 1, which showcased some of the most beautifully crafted jewellery pieces from India. This exclusive gallery, featuring 20 stunning pieces, was widely appreciated by visitors for its display of India’s rich heritage and modern creativity. The themes, “Objet Trouvé” and “Unusual Materials,” highlighted the versatility and ingenuity of Indian artisans, creating a compelling narrative that resonated with the diverse audience.

Amit Mulani, General Manager, Parishi Diamond Inc., noted that the show was on the slower side, which we had anticipated. The first day’s footfall were decent, and the subsequent days were average. However, our experience with GJEPC has always been great. We’ve been working exhibiting in the India Pavilion and have participated in their numerous shows since many years, and it has always been positive.”

A sales executive from Dharam Export India Pvt. Ltd. shared that this was their first time exhibiting at the India Pavilion at JCK Las Vegas, and they received a very good response. “We are planning to participate again next year as well.”

Kushi Shah from Illusion Solitaire Diamond Trade, too, informed that it was their first time here, “We’ve had a great experience meeting people from different cultures and countries. The first day was a bit slow, but overall, it was wonderful to showcase our jewellery and make many new contacts. We’d love to participate again.”

Commenting on the overall show, Ashish Sand from Savio Jewellery India said, “The show was phenomenal for us, with numerous buyers from South America and Canada. Our experience at JCK was excellent. Despite the recent rise in gold prices, the response exceeded our expectations. Every appointment led to a successful conversion, making it an outstanding show for us.”
