SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: SRK KNOWLEDGE FOUNDATION AND GUJARAT GOVERNMENT COLLABORATE FOR A BRIGHTER TOMORROW

In an interesting update for education and skill development in Gujarat, the Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF), the philanthropic arm of renowned natural diamond crafting and exports company Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to establish a pioneering Skill University and Centre of Excellence at Nimlai, Ubhrat, Navsari during the launch of Surat Economic Region Master Plan prepared by NITI Aayog at Surat.
Commitment to Shreemad Bhagavad Gita Teachings
This initiative marks a significant step in SRKKF’s ongoing commitment to championing the teachings of Shreemad Bhagavad Gita, which Founder-Chairman Emeritus, SRK & SRKKF, Shri Govind Dholakia advocates as essential for today’s youth.
Focus of the Centre of Excellence
The Centre of Excellence will focus on the deep wisdom of the Bhagavad Geeta. The University aims to enable young people by emphasizing both skill development and character building, ensuring they are well-equipped for the future. With state-of-the-art facilities for research and practical applications grounded in the teachings of the Gita, this initiative will help in the development of essential life skills alongside academic learning.

Collaboration with the Government of Gujarat
The collaboration aims to strengthen academic and research partnerships between the Commissionerate of Technical Education, the Government of Gujarat, and SRKKF. The Government will facilitate the necessary permissions, registrations, and approvals for the University, while SRKKF will promote the exchange of faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to enhance mutual learning. Collaborative educational initiatives, workshops, seminars, and conferences will also be part of this partnership, further enriching the learning environment.
Phased Implementation and Job Creation
The project is set to be implemented in phases starting in 2025, with an expected creation of around 1000 jobs. The MoU will be effective from the date of signing and will remain in force for two years, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
