Kerala Gold & Silver Merchants Association organised a Buyer-Seller Meet in Thrissur, reaffirming the city’s role as the heart of Kerala’s jewellery manufacturing sector.
Leadership Calls for Greater Collaboration in Jewellery Industry
Mr K. Surendran, State President, KGSMA, presided over the meeting, highlighting the need for collaboration to strengthen trade. Adv. S. Abdul Nazar, General Secretary, KGSMA, stressed the importance of building trust and expanding opportunities for the industry.
Global Gold Prices and Thrissur’s Role in Manufacturing Highlighted
Speaking at the event, Mr Kaushlendra Sinha, CEO, IAGES, noted that with gold prices continuing to rise globally, setting a price ceiling is not viable. He praised Thrissur as a model for jewellery manufacturing in India, adding that the meet would provide fresh impetus to Kerala’s gold and silver sector.
