FIRST JURY ROUND OF JEA’23 COMES TO A SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION

The First Jury Round for the 15th edition of the Jewellery Eminence Awards (JEA’23) was successfully held virtually. As one of India’s renowned jewellery design competitions, JEA’23 aims to uncover and celebrate the outstanding jewellery designs created by jewellers, students, and professionals across the country.
For the first Jury meeting held on Wednesday 14th June 2023, there were 18 participating categories for Jewellers in which an overwhelming 268 entries were received from the jewellers PAN India. The design judging criterion was a synthesis of traditional and contemporary with a focus on creativity, innovation and wearability, and aesthetics.
The online jury round consisted of an eminent all women jury panel from different parts of the world, viz. Ms Elena Basaglia (Gemfields, Downstream Manager, London), Ms Sonali Sheth (Jewellery Design Strategist and Consultant, Surat), Ms Pallavi Foley (Founder, Pallavi Foley Boutique Jewels, Bengaluru), and Ms Prerna Khurana (Director, Khurana Jewellery House, Amritsar) virtually rated the Jewellers’ entries, for the next round.
The 3 hour long jury round was held in the presence of Mr Ashok Maheshwari (Convenor JAS), Mr Rupesh Tambi (Convenor JEA), and Mr Vinish Agarwal (JEA Committee Member), along with other JEA and JAS committee members.

After the first round of online judging, there’ll be a physical jury soon and then the winners will be declared at the Physical Awards Ceremony at Gala Night on 8th July 23 during JAS: The Premium B2B Show, scheduled for 7-8-9 July 2023 at JECC Sitapura, Jaipur
