GJEPC has welcomed the introduction of the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill 2026, describing it as a landmark reform that provides a 15-year income tax exemption for eligible foreign companies trading rough diamonds through India’s Special Notified Zones, paving the way for India to become a leading global rough diamond trading hub.
