KIJF 2023: EXCITEMENT BUILDS AS INDUSTRY GETS READY FOR BIGGER AND BETTER PRE-ONAM SHOW WITH EXCLUSIVE COLLECTIONS AND REPUTED PARTICIPANTS

1st July 2023

The second edition of the Kerala International Jewellery Fair (KIJF) 2023, Kerala’s largest B2B jewellery show, has generated significant excitement among jewellers in Kerala as well as across the country

  • KIJF to be held from July 8-10, 2023 at Adlux International Convention Centre
  • Over 300 Exhibitors and 12,000 visitors likely to take part
  • Dazzling range of new collections designed for Onam Season
  • Participants whom we usually do not see in any other shows
  • Kerala Jewellery Awards & Networking Nite on 9th July 2023
  • Concurrently happening events YUVA – Next Generation Business Meet, Kerala State Jewellers Meeting, Corporate Jewellers Summit

The list of exhibitors includes leading manufacturers, wholesalers and suppliers from various key jewellery centres in different states, while the number of pan-India visitor registrations are clocking good numbers showing the excitements amongst retailers to source the jewellery for the upcoming wedding and festival demand.

This year’s show, which is being held at Adlux Exhibition & Convention Centre from July 8-10, 2023 will be much bigger and better than last year’s event.

KIJF is jointly organised by All Kerala Gold & Silver Jewellery Manufacturers Association (AKGSMA), the apex body of the jewellery industry in Kerala and United Exhibitions, India’s leading jewellery exhibition organiser.

The show will provide jewellers with a strong and vibrant B2B jewellery trading and sourcing platform as it brings together India’s top and renowned jewellery manufacturers and technology service providers under one roof.

KIJF 2023 will have about 150+ exhibitors in 300 booths spread over 75,000 sq ft of exhibition space. Together, an estimated 100,000 jewellery designs will be showcased covering a wide array of choices. The products will be across gold, diamond, and silver jewellery, as well as loose gemstones, with specific emphasis on styles that will do well in the Kerala market.

The machinery section will also feature equipment used in the manufacturing process and the latest technology and software solutions used in the jewellery industry.

This year’s edition will have a number of specific new features such as the first-ever Kerala Jewellery Awards & Networking Evening, a spectrum of seminar sessions focused on the needs of the Next Generation jewellers, and a Kerala State Jewellers Meeting with participation of leading trade bodies from across the country to present their initiatives to the jewellers from the most prominent jewellery market.

Given the massive response to the pre-show visitor registration drive and boosted by the faster and more user-friendly registration process, more than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend. The organisers have also curated a Qualified Buyers Programme for leading retailers, chain stores and other established jewellers to facilitate a comfortable stay while they source the jewellery from the finest of the country.

Welcoming the trade to KIJF 2023, Dr. B. Govindan, President of AKGSMA & Chairman of KIJF said, “The remarkable success of the KIJF in 2022 has clearly established that a lot has changed in the jewellery industry in Kerala. The response to the over 30 road shows that have been held in cities and towns in Kerala, shows that local jewellers are keen to move to a more modern and professional mode of doing business. KIJF provides a professionally managed B2B jewellery sourcing and trading platform and has generated a lot of enthusiasm with even the smaller jewellers responding in large numbers.”

Highlighting why this year’s show is receiving such a big response, K Surendran, Gen. Secretary, AKGSMA & Vice Chairman KIJF said, “KIJF 2023 is being organized at the right time so as to enable the industry to be ready for the rise in demand that is normally associated with the Onam festival. With many large well-known pan-Indian manufacturers among the exhibitors, the response from the retailers has been amazing. This year, we are happy to welcome visitors from the very important Middle East market as well.”

Adv S Abdul Nazar, Treasurer, AKGSMA & convener KIJF, while outlining some of the new additions to the show, said, “We are consolidating the gains of last year’s KIJF and this year have many exciting new features to strengthen the networking benefits for all. These include some very interesting seminars for the Next Gen jewellers, an evening event focused on the Kerala Jewellery Awards and a special business conference for the South Indian industry.”

V K Manoj, Project Director, United Exhibitions said, “We are happy to be associated with the third edition of KIJF. The show has evolved rapidly, especially after the dates were aligned with the Onam festival last year. Last year all exhibitors were very satisfied with the business generated. There is growing interest from all across India and some of the biggest brands and jewellers from various states are taking part as well as a number of new participants who have never exhibited at a trade show before this. We are confident that this platform will provide a boost to the industry this year too.”
