De Beers Group has appointed Mallikarjuna Reddy Yarabolu as Managing Director of Forevermark India, effective January 2026. The appointment comes as the group accelerates its expansion strategy in India’s fast-growing natural diamond jewellery market.
Over Two Decades of Cross-Sector Experience
Yarabolu brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across fashion, retail, FMCG, and luxury segments. His career has been marked by a strong focus on revenue growth, channel expansion, and brand-led retail transformation, making him well positioned to lead Forevermark’s next phase in India.
Recent Role at Arvind Fashions Limited
Prior to joining Forevermark India, Yarabolu served as Chief Revenue Officer at Arvind Fashions Limited. In this role, he led sales and revenue strategies for major brands including U.S. Polo Assn., Arrow, and Flying Machine. He recently announced his departure from the company on LinkedIn, thanking the leadership team for entrusting him with the responsibility of stabilising and transforming the business during his tenure.
Experience at Nestlé India and National Retail Expansion
Earlier in his career, Yarabolu spent six years at Nestlé India, where he managed multiple food service and retail formats such as Maggi Hotspots, KitKat Break Zones, Milk Booths, and Nescafé kiosks. During this period, he oversaw a nationwide network of more than 750 outlets, gaining extensive experience in large-scale retail operations.
Senior Leadership Across Leading Corporates
Yarabolu has also held senior leadership positions at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (Peter England), Walmart India, and Godrej Agrovet, further strengthening his expertise in organised retail and consumer-focused growth strategies.
Forevermark’s Expansion Strategy in India
The appointment aligns with De Beers’ broader plan to scale Forevermark’s retail presence in India, now the world’s second-largest market for natural diamond jewellery. Forevermark has transitioned from a loose diamond-focused business to a branded jewellery retail model and plans to open 15 new stores in 2025. Over the long term, the brand aims to expand to 100 outlets across India by 2030.

With rising disposable incomes, increasing premiumisation, and the rapid growth of organised retail, India is expected to remain a critical growth engine for natural diamonds. Yarabolu’s proven expertise in retail-led expansion and channel development is expected to play a pivotal role in steering Forevermark through its next phase of growth in the Indian market.
