The Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IGJ) celebrated a landmark weekend as it hosted its formal Convocation Ceremony on January 8th, followed by a spectacular cultural evening titled “ONENESS” on January 9th. The two-day event, held at the IGJ Campus, brought together global industry leaders, local government officials, and creative visionaries to honor the graduating class of 2026.

As the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) concluded what is traditionally the final major trade exhibition of the year, the International Institute of Gemology (IIG) used the moment to underline a larger shift underway in professional education, one where classroom learning is no longer sufficient without deep, structured industry immersion.

The Shagun Collection showcases a wide range of exquisite karigari – from intricate uncut diamond sets and rich antique designs to finely detailed meenakari and nakshi work pieces. Each creation captures the beauty of India’s heritage while mixing it with modern sensibilities, offering something unique for every style and occasion. Every piece in the collection is a tribute to the joy of celebrations and the deep bonds we share with loved ones.

The India Gem & Jewellery Show (GJS2025) – Diwali Edition concluded today at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, after four spectacular days of celebration, innovation, and industry collaboration. Organised by the All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), the show witnessed an overwhelming response from across the country, with over 10,000 visitors, 2,000+ hosted buyers, and more than 700 booths showcasing the finest in Indian jewellery craftsmanship. Following its grand inauguration by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji, the event continued to build momentum with a series of impactful activities and engagements that reflected the vibrancy and resilience of the gem and jewellery sector.

Skilling being at the core of our activities, a Special Program was curated by GJSCI to Train the Trainer. It was a 3 day long Training Program which commenced on 31st July upto 2nd August, 2025. Imitation Jewellery Maker & Artificial Jewellery Maker job roles were shortlisted for this program. A total of 12 Trainers participated in this intensive Training Program held in Mumbai.  Trainers hailed from the State of Odisha, Thane & Kolhapur districts of Maharashtra.
